Better career conversations.
Better career decisions.
CareerAlign gives Career Development Practitioners the tools to understand clients, explore career possibilities and create actionable career pathways.

How it works
Assess. Understand. Match. Plan.
Four stages, in order. The sequence matters: a client who sees a ranked list of job titles before they see their own profile treats the whole thing as a quiz result, and the session gets spent arguing with a number.
Stage 1
Assess
Your client completes a structured assessment across nine sections. Around 15–25 minutes, saved as they go.
Stage 2
Understand
Interests, values, strengths, preferences, motivators, experience and constraints, scored and profiled.
Stage 3
Match
Career possibilities ranked by alignment, each carrying the reasoning that produced the score.
Stage 4
Plan
Turn a direction into steps the client can start on, with training options and timeframes.
Built for Career Development Practitioners
The expertise is yours. The extraction is ours.
Practitioners spend the first session, sometimes two, drawing out the same information by hand. This does that part before you meet, so the billable hour goes to interpretation, challenge and planning.
Start further along
The extraction happens before you meet. Your first session begins at interpretation instead of intake.
Defend every number
Open the working behind any alignment score in front of your client — dimension by dimension, with what drove it and what held it back.
Your name on the report
Client-facing reports carry your practice's logo and contact details. CareerAlign is credited once, small, on the last page.
Constraints are measured, not ignored
A career your client cannot afford to retrain for is not a match. Breaches are shown and named rather than quietly filtered out.
What it measures
Eight dimensions, weighted and configurable
Every dimension is scored from the client’s own answers. None of it is inferred by a language model, and the weighting is set by the administrator rather than fixed by us.
Interests
What kinds of work pull their attention, across thirteen areas.
Values
What has to be true about a job for it to be worth doing.
Strengths
What they are good at, self-rated and cross-checked against history.
Skills
Capability by domain, with shortfalls treated differently from surplus.
Work preferences
Nine bipolar dimensions — structure, pace, autonomy, visibility.
Motivators
What actually sustains effort once novelty wears off.
Experience
Occupations held, tasks enjoyed, tasks avoided, transferable skills.
Constraints
Money, time, location, study appetite, industries ruled out.
Career matching
A score you can open up
Matching is deterministic. The same answers always produce the same result, and every score can be traced back to the responses that produced it.
- Skills shortfalls count against a match; surplus never does. Being over-qualified is not a reason to score a career lower.
- Hard constraints cap a score rather than hiding the career. The strong match your client cannot currently afford is often the most useful conversation in the room.
- Scores are whole numbers. Displaying 89.47 against 88.83 would invent a distinction the instrument cannot support.

AI-assisted insights
AI explains results. It doesn’t produce them.
Every alignment score is calculated by a deterministic engine before any language model sees it. The model’s job is to put a decision that has already been made into readable language. It cannot change a score, invent an assessment result, or recommend a career the engine did not surface.
Anything drafted for a client is editable by the practitioner before it is sent.
